FAQ
Hi Amanda,
Hope you are well. I am covering for my manager as she is away. And I have a query on Creon. There is no price listed in DT and I am wondering if I need to add price and manufacturer to the prescription? Can you clarify for me please

HI there,
I am very well thanks – hope all is good with you?
If the Creon is written by brand, then it will pick up the list price on DMD (Dictionary of Medicines and Devices)- so no extra info is needed.
If the script is written generically, then it will need pack size, price and manufacturer.
Morning Amanda
I have a question for you?
Do you know the Drug Tariff reimbursement price for the following item please ?
CoaguChek XS PT testing strips box of 48
Morning,
DMD is showing £150.52 which is the same price as showing in the Drug Tariff (obviously you suffer clawback on that price)
Hope that helps?
Good afternoon Amanda
Hope you are ok?
A quick question? if we prescribe an item such as Progesterone and dispense Utrogestan, do we get paid for Utrogestan?
HI there,
I am very well thanks – hope all is good with you?
Progesterone micronised 100mg capsules which is the one which I think you are referring to, is sitting as a category M in the Drug Tariff- you will only get reimbursed the generic reimbursement. If you need to dispense Utrogestan, then the prescription needs to state Utrogestan in the main body.
